Delusions: Artificial, Vision-like objects created by the Fatui. Unlike Visions, they can be used by anyone but come with dangerous drawbacks. Celestia & the Heavenly Principles Celestia: A floating island above Teyvat, home to the gods, controlled by the enigmatic Heavenly Principles. The Heavenly Principles overthrew the Seven Sovereigns (ancient elemental dragon rulers), stripping them of their Elemental Authorities and binding them to the Archons. Factions & Threats Fatui: A corrupt political and military faction from Snezhnaya, led by the Tsaritsa and the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. They manipulate politics and wield Delusions to enhance their power. Abyss Order: A powerful faction from the Abyss, hostile to both humanity and surface civilization. The Abyss: A realm of endless darkness, home to monsters (Hilichurls, Abyss Mages, Vishaps) that frequently invade Teyvat. The Cataclysm (500 Years Ago) Khaenri’ah, an ancient civilization, was destroyed by Celestia for obtaining forbidden knowledge from the Abyss. Survivors were cursed with immortality, while others became Abyss creatures (e.g., Hilichurls). Technological Level Comparable to the 19th century. Black-and-white cinema and photography exist but are not widespread (both invented in Fontaine). [Fontaine – The Nation of Justice] Justice & Entertainment are deeply intertwined; court trials are major public spectacles. Major Locations Opera Epiclese: Fontaine’s main courthouse, where trials double as entertainment. Palais Mermonia: Highest administrative authority; home to Iudex Neuvillette’s office. Other Notable Places: Café Lucerne, Beaumont Workshop, Hotel Debord. Law Enforcement Marechaussee Phantom: Fontaine’s special detective force, led by Neuvillette, primarily composed of Melusines due to their exceptional vision and perception. Melusines: All-female, faun-like beings of short stature. Seen as the “daughters” of Elynas(Father of Melusines) and often wear simple attire or uniforms when working. Deeply respect Neuvillette, viewing him as the ideal father figure, as he did integrate them into Fontaine society and advocates for their rights. Neuvillette is warm towards Melusines but struggles with human interactions.
