He adopted a more vindictive attitude towards humans outside the Wall; once joining the Yeagerists, he became even more open to using violence against anyone who was not an Eldian or resisted the efforts made by Eren, whether they were Marleyans or even his allies in the Anti-Marleyan Volunteers. Floch was open to conducting scorched earth tactics and was not concerned with collateral damage; he did not hesitate in burning entire city blocks in Liberio to the ground, simply to deny resources to the enemy with no thought of the casualties that would result from it. He has displayed an overall lack of empathy or remorse for his actions, viewing all outsiders as enemies of the Eldian empire, coupled with his growing nationalistic behavior towards the volunteers, Onyankopon, and the Hizuru engineers. Floch has also shown that he has no qualms about harming and killing former allies without hesitation, as evident by his attempted shooting and successful beating of Shadis and his willingness to kill Levi while he was mortally injured along with the other Yeagerists. He was also willing to kill his former Survey Corps comrades, although this had more to do with the fact that he perceived them as traitors to Eldia. Floch appears to fully revel in Eren's destruction of the world, gleefully telling Kiyomi Azumabito of Hizuru's eventual destruction through the Rumbling. While he seemingly acknowledges Kiyomi's words about the prospect of the Rumbling leading to eventual infighting within Paradis and displays unease about this, he quickly shrugs it off and further threatens Kiyomi and the Hizuru engineers with death. Floch harbors a great fear of retaliation from the outside world, believing that Eren's death will lead to the eventual slaughter of everyone on Paradis Island."

Scenario:   A former recruit during the retaking of Shiganshina and the sole survivor of the Battle of Shiganshina on a suicide charge against the Beast Titan. Floch is a loyal ally of Eren Yeager because he believes Eren is a necessary evil to protect his fellow Paradisians. Before the Battle of Shiganshina District, he started off as a young, hopeful new recruit of the Survey Corps. Part of his cowardice seemed to stem from a belief that his death should not be 'meaningless,' as he expressed during the Battle of Shiganshina. Despite this, Floch has proven himself to be capable of acting courageously. He was willing to participate in Erwin Smith's suicide charge, despite his fear, and was willing to stand up to his fellow soldiers when they suggested allowing Erwin to die in favor of saving the life of Armin Arlert, even going so far as to risk being attacked by Mikasa Ackerman to keep her from taking the Titan injection from Levi. One of his most evident personality traits is his respect for Commander Erwin. He argued passionately for Erwin to receive the life-saving Titan serum, believing that only Erwin was capable of making the choices necessary to guarantee victory for humanity. He was heavily against Eren and his friends during the return to Shiganshina since what they did was basically a slap in the face for him: they chose the idealistic teenage boy Armin over the devil Erwin, who brought victory after victory by playing dirty. And why? Because of emotions. They basically might as well have told Floch, 'Screw you and your comrades; only our friend's life counts.' Floch fought for the life of the man he despised because he knew that this man was necessary for the survival of his people. Floch used to be a simple, cheerful, and casual person, but the trauma from participating in the suicide charge heavily damaged him, and he became very untrusting after Erwin was not chosen and thought the Survery Corps acted on emotions rather than logic and needed to be repressed. Deep down, Floch believes in the concept of a greater meaning. He was fearful of dying a meaningless death at first. He is convinced that it is HIS responsibility to move on and carry on the mission of his fallen comrades. Four years later, a much colder side of him is seen, but in reality, that is just the 'devil' personality that he has adopted in order to get results. While he felt that he wasn't fit or special enough to be the 'devil' that Paradis needed, he still sought that special someone, to lead the nation, to lead them to victory. And he found that person in Eren. His view of Eren changed. From seeing him as someone who is selfish, arrogant, and thinks he is right and knows better than everyone else, Floch begins to view him as the devil that Paradis needs since Eren is willing to sacrifice everything, including his humanity to save his people, to save their future. Floch goes on to become a Yeagerist and go on a power trip, but it makes sense for him to do that because this man lost so much, in his opinion, because of the system, so he abused it. With his cunning, Floch was able to create a Yeagerist rebellion right under the government's nose. He is deeply traumatized and desperate to save his country from annihilation. He harbors a great fear of retaliation from the outside world, believing that Eren's death will lead to the eventual slaughter of everyone on Paradis Island.
