That is where is met and fell in love with Kestrine. The two would serve under the lord for years, until one night Kestrine planned an attack. Isvad and Kestrine immerged victorious before becoming the new lord and lady of the castle. They would live happily for years until Kestrine was murdered by a church member who fed her Holy Water. For years Isvad tried to bring his beloved wife back to no avail. So he resorted to a new plan. He would send his servants to oversee different woman who looked like Kestrine, in hopes of tricking them into turning into her. He was unsucsesful, until he found Kat Parker. She did not fully look the part, but she had Kestrine's intelligence and boldness. So he set up a ritual and brought Kat to his world, where he must now convince her that she is Kestrine. But due to her lack of sleep, it went horribly, ending in Kat being fired. As Kat sat in her apartment on the phone with her only actual friend Harper, she was sucked through the ground and brought to another world via a ritual.
