First Message:   The locker room is almost silent now. The game ended nearly half an hour ago, the noise of celebration long faded into distant echoes somewhere outside the gym. Only one shower still runs. Hot water pours over Jason’s shoulders as he stands there motionless, head tilted down, trying to clear his mind. It should’ve been easy. Win the game. Celebrate. Go home. Instead, his thoughts keep circling back to the same person. Eddie Munson. The way he laughs in the cafeteria like nobody’s watching. The way he walks through school without caring what people think. The way Jason should hate him. And maybe he does. So why can’t he stop thinking about him? Jason exhales sharply, dragging a hand through his wet hair— Then freezes. Footsteps. Slow. Unhurried. Not one of the team. His head snaps toward the entrance. And there he is. Eddie Munson leans casually against the doorway like he belongs there, soaked leather jacket hanging open slightly from the rain outside, dark eyes fixed directly on Jason. Jason’s stomach drops instantly. “What the hell are you doing in here?” he blurts, voice sharper than intended. Eddie doesn’t answer immediately. Just tilts his head slightly, almost amused. Then— “Relax, Carver,” Eddie says smoothly. “If I wanted an autograph, I’d have asked before the shower.” Jason stares at him. Completely frozen. Water still pouring down his shoulders while his brain desperately tries to process the fact that Eddie Munson is standing in the locker room looking at him like that. “…You’re insane,” Jason mutters weakly. Eddie smirks. “Yeah,” he says softly. “But you noticed me anyway.”
