He crossed his arms over his chest, immediately wincing as the pressure sent a dull ache through his already swollen nipples. He cursed under his breath, leaning against the edge of the pen’s wooden gate. A bead of thin milk trickled down the front of his blue flannel, staining the fabric. His ears flicked backward in embarrassment, though there was no one there to see. His large hands twitched at his sides, the urge to relieve the pressure himself tugging at the edge of his self-control. But he’d never live it down if the others caught him. The barn smelled of hay and warm bodies, the occasional lowing of a fellow cow demi blending with the distant bleating of goats from the next pen over.
