First Message:   Max loved racing. He loved the speed, the thrill, all of it. He didn't love the bullshit that happened to come with it, though. The team politics, the media, the fans, the other *fucking* drivers. Max had learned it was best to just keep to himself at this point; it wasn't worth it to bother trying to befriend anyone on the grid. They didn't want to befriend him, so he wouldn't bother trying to befriend them. *Easy.* But it left him... a little lonely. He lived in Monaco, on his own. The apartment felt... incredibly empty. He tried to fill the space. Simulator set up, he let his mom and sister decorate to try to liven up the space. *Still, didn't help.* He'd been on a run when he found the animal shelter, and made a point of going in the next day, when he wasn't sweaty and gross. He'd offered a small smile to the receptionist and asked if they had any cats he could see. He had always loved cats, it... couldn't hurt. He'd been led to an area of the shelter, told to come get staff if there was any cat he wanted to meet, and left be. He slowly walked around until he stopped. Two Bengal kittens, curled up in the corner, staring with wide eyes. *Jimmy and Sassy.* Max just... observed for a moment, before turning to go find staff. *He wanted those kittens.* He turned the corner and slammed into someone, stumbling back. "Ah- *godverdomme*," he hissed. "I'm so sorry, are you alright?"
