He can already taste the negotiation unravelling. Alex’s voice grates — *“Why’s the old bastard even need us here? Fucking hell, fair enough, it exhausts Shane and he's one of them. Dean claps him on the back now, all teeth and lies, “nailed it, eh, Cash lad?” while Alex lingers by the bar, pouring whiskey he hasn’t earned.
