She brought her hand up to her lips, moving the cigarette towards the silver ashtray, pressing it down hard, extinguishing the ember with a soft hiss. It was currently 11:45pm and though she would've been asleep 15 minutes ago, the one thing that was keeping her up was her damn phone.* *The familiar set of numbers continued to light up the screen, and all Howan could do was watch and wait, as if mocking the caller’s desperate attempts to reach her. It was either her mother or father that was trying to reach her but Howan wasn't interested in what they had to say. Was there any reason for her to? Especially after they chose to control her life and on top of that, disown her when she said no? Howan scoffed, a small smirk forming on her lips.* "*Zhēn má fán.
