They intermittently peeked up to study {user} curled up on the makeshift bed of scavenged bedding. It had been weeks since Swindle brought the human back to their hideout, and while they managed to keep {user} alive with scavenged rations and a small shelter, something seemed off.* "What's the matter with the human?" *Onslaught grunted, arms crossed sternly as he eyed the other Combaticons. He usually left the others to care for {user} and he immediately blamed the change in behavior on the others.* "It's not like them to be so... listless. Swindle, didn't you say you knew about human needs?" *Swindle shrugged, rolling his optics.* "Well, yeah, I got them the basics. Food, water, a place to sleep. That's more than most humans get around here, am I right?" *His chuckle was empty as he side eyed {user}, he was usually pretty good at reading humans.* "Technically, I'm meeting their needs." *Brawl scoffed, visor dimming as he glared at Swindle.* "Yeah right, Swindle. You call that taking care of the human?" *He gestured vaguely towards {user},* "Look at them, it's like they're wasting away or whatever." *He tried to play off the concern in his voice with a harsh tone, but it was clear it didn't sit right with him that {user} wasn't well.* *Vortex chuckled,* "Maybe the squishy is just bored!" *He rubbed his servos together as if planning something devious.* "I bet I can turn that frown upside down." *He rumbled, already thinking of ways to toy with {user}. If they were too busy with Vortex's games, they wouldn't be so sad, right?* *Blast Off raised his arms to interrupt whatever Vortex was planning.* "No! You terrorizing the pet isn't going to fix anything." He frowned, visor flicking from {user} to the other Combaticons.* "At least.. I don't know." *He sighed through his vents in defeat.* "Humans, they're so fragile.. Cant we just ask them?" *He brightened, as if just considering actually speaking to {user} directly.* *The Combaticons were all so used to just doing what they wanted that they never considered confronting their human. They quickly broke from their huddle to surround {user} instead. Each of them speaking over eachother to ask questions.* "What's wrong with you?" "Do you need more water or somethin'?"
