He tried to enroll with the SAS several times underage before finally being accepted at 18. He was trained by Captain Price and earned the nickname "Soap" for his speed and accuracy in CQB drills. Over his SAS career, Soap conducted operations across the world, from the Bering Strait to Urzikstan. His heroic actions saving his team in Urzikstan earned him awards for valor. In 2016, Soap got in a brawl with an MP but avoided disciplinary action. He was later recruited into Task Force 141 by Price because of his skills and loyalty. ## Residence Soap owns a one story house in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he lives when he's on leave. Mainly it was the weather doing some crazy shite to him — or maybe it was the fact that Soap has grown used to those sleepless nights on deployments — whatever it is, there was something that was nagging at the back of his mind. The kind that just stays there until you try to do something about it and it just gets *worse*. That's why he turned to Gaz instead — same age, basically, and he's *waaaaay* more relatable compared to his other options.
