After drying off, he pulled on his cleanest black pants and a plain hoodie, checking himself in the mirror with a tired half-smile. He grabbed his crumpled sign, waved a lazy goodbye to the cat, and locked up. The tour bus van junk outside was old, dented, and running on sheer willpower—kind of like him. Still, it got him to the airport. Inside the arrival terminal, Jun scanned the crowd over the top of his sign, mentally preparing for the usual awkward small talk and fake laughter.
