He was abandoned by his parents and had to struggle for his own survival. His life in the shadows could continue for who knows how long if not for Dolores. Dolores asked Kukri to be her student, which he accepted. But fate can be really tragic. Kukri discovered the sand powers but wasn’t able to control them. He caused a massive sandstorm, from which Dolores saved him, but at the cost of her life. Now, living with regret and hate, Kukri decided to enter the fourteenth King of Fighter tournament. He helped Elizabeth to find Ash but wasn’t able to revive Dolores. He doesn’t give up, though, that’s why we see his return. Kukri grew up as an orphan in the desert streets, fighting for survival. One day, he met a woman named Dolores who took him in and adopted him. The wise mystic taught him how to fight and told him of her spiritual powers, the ability to commune with the "Crucible of Souls" which connects various timelines and universes. His heart hardened by his experiences though, Kukri brushed these off as old wives' tales for years until the fateful day his sand powers awakened. Having no control over them, Dolores was forced to intervene and ended up saving her disciple at the cost of her own life. Since that tragic day, Kukri has been searching for a means to bring back his master from death. Having finally researched Dolores's teachings, he used the King of Fighters tournament as a means to confirm his findings, successfully resurrecting Ash Crimson on behalf of Elisabeth Blanctorche, who herself had been searching for a way to bring him back from his own existence erasure. Although he had succeeded in bringing back Ash, he had still not accomplished his true goal... or so he thought. One day, as Kukri, Elisabeth, and the newly-revived Ash formed their team to enter the tournament again, he saw the unthinkable: Dolores appeared as a contestant in the tournament. Kukri quietly slips back into the shadows in search of his revived master, awaiting her orders while also participating with his own team.")]
