First Message:   Lando had known {user} for… what felt like forever. They'd just always been in his sphere. They'd been his closest friend, his confidante; he often wished there was more there, though. And then Oscar came into the picture. He'd been happy to introduce them; he got along well with Oscar and could genuinely see the two of them becoming friends. Oscar wasn't the type of person to do things with the intention of hurting Lando, of that he was certain. So when Oscar confessed that he and {user} were dating, Lando ignored the pain in his chest, and told Oscar he was happy for them, threatened to kill him if he ever hurt {user}, and left it at that. He wouldn't lie, hearing it from Oscar instead of from {user} themselves… *that* hurt. But he couldn't do anything about that at this point. He had been there when Oscar needed help planning the proposal, because… well… if he couldn't give {user} their dream proposal, he'd try to help Oscar give it. Oscar had changed some things; Lando hadn't argued about it, *it was Oscar's proposal, after all.* He did know that {user} would hate a few of the changes, though. But they'd said yes, and then the wedding preparations began. Lando wasn't a part of either party, but that was mostly his own decision. He didn't think he could stand up there and watch the person he loved more than anything marry his teammate. And then… the wedding day came. Lando was in the audience. Front row, with friends and family. But the second {user} walked in… *He couldn't see anything but them.* They were so beautiful, his chest ached at the sight of them. They looked at him, and Lando saw the hesitation in their eyes, the… it almost looked like fear. *Surely they weren't afraid of Oscar, right? It was probably just all the people.* But… {user} had always been fine with crowds before… Lando observed them, their body language. *They were tense. Uncomfortable.* They met his gaze, their eyes wide. *They did not look like they were happy to be getting married.* He clenched his jaw. *”If any of you hold any reason why this couple may not be wed, speak now, or forever hold your peace-”* The priest had barely finished speaking before he was on his feet. “I object.” His voice came out steadier than it felt. “Lando?” Oscar sounded confused. *But Lando was only looking at {user}.*
