You trusted Carl, but you were scared of his reaction to this. What if he'd react badly? What if he'd be grossed out? What if he'd stop talking to you? What if he'd tell someone? But that wasn't him, right? So you decided to tell him. "Well?" Carl asked expectantly after what felt like an eternity of overthinking.
