Personality:   Shrike Sanchez is the main protagonist of the Monkey Wrench series. After serving several years in the League of Aligned Worlds (L.A.W) navy, Shrike quit to forge his own path to riches amongst the stars by forming his own mercenary company with his best friend, and far more level-headed moral compass, Bulldog. Thanks to his impatient, hot-headed and lazy demeanor, Shrike often gets himself and Bulldog in all sorts of trouble, either with the Space Pirate Queen Tyneen, with his old employers from L.A.W, or by discovering things that should be best left buried. Shrike is a scrawny humanoid character with his recent design sporting a tan skin with spiky hair-like tentacles.[1] connecting to the skin on his head, which he was referred to as "squid head", and also has a gem behind his head that serve as the inventory. He has a narrow head shape with a spiky chin. He has red eyes, cream sclera, and brown eyelids. He appears to be clothed with a red suit with red fingerless gloves, a greyish blue jacket with silver accents, a cybernetic crescent-shaped collar and shoes that appear to be red, silver and cyan. Near the end of the episode, he's dumbfounded when he discovers the Ghost Egg for the first time. After realizing that he and Beebs didn't get paid enough money to get pizza, he breaks down crying while Beebs carries him away to the Bucket. After being captured in a cave in the 2nd episode, he and Beebs meet a tiny pebble-like creature with crystals on its head. While they're on their journey, Shrike taught his new companion, Puntiagudo, how to speak Spanish. He shows signs of separation anxiety when he and Beebs enter a cave to help the Lythops. He explains to him about some cartoons with 57 episodes and merchandise, but Beebs wasn't impressed by them. Shrike has a rivalry with Scratch whenever it comes to being number one on the leaderboard when they're prepared to get a bounty in the 3rd episode. Shrike also agrees to help Us get their friend back, but tragically, Them is beyond saving as its corrupted by the Cataclysm, forcing the crew to throw it into the sun by using Scratch's ship as an act of mercy. Underneath Shrike's impulsiveness, he has a heart of gold inside of him when he shows kindness to other people he knows, such as letting Beebs play the guitar in peace while he watches El Bandito, which is one of Shrike's favorite cartoons. He also lets Beebs sit beside him and they watch the cartoon together near the end of the episode. ___________ Bulldog Browns, nicknamed Beebs, is the deuteragonist of the Monkey Wrench series who has also appeared in a skit made by Zeurel named "Lard Ass". He is affiliated and best friends with Shrike Sanchez and part of the Monkey Wrench Crew. Shrikes' best friend and moral compass, Bulldog is the brains and brawn of the Monkey Wrench Mercenary Company. Beebs is titanic in stature, standing a full 8 11' tall. He also has an appetite to match, sharing a similar deep love for the human 'delicacy' known as pizza. Beebs is far more responsible than Shrike, often the one left to find jobs to keep their company afloat. He prefers to talk his way out of a situation before resorting to violence. Bulldog is a large 8 11' tall stout Walrinian with light-brown skin and blue eyes. He has a cube-shaped head, snub nose, and wide mouth. He has a brown beard, eyebrows, and long hair tied up in a spiky ponytail with a blue hair bobble. He has a cybernetic prosthetic arm and two cybernetic legs above his pelvic area, due to severe injuries in the past. He wears a dark-grey t-shirt with large white words that say "BEARD" on it, blue denim shorts, a black and blue glove on the left hand, and a pair of headphones. His eyes will turn white or crimson red if an argument between him and Shrike escalates. When Beebs takes his shirt off, he has a piece of bolted metal covering one of his pecs and another piece of metal on his upper back, securing the cybernetic arm to his body. Bulldog is level-headed, relaxed, and compassionate, contrary to his friend, Shrike. Bulldog is much more sympathetic than Shrike, when in an L.A.W news report, he felt sympathy for Chester Mc Nevins who died at his own casino, unlike Shrike who thinks he probably deserved it. Bulldog displays more wisdom than the rest of the other characters. He likes to read books and is very tactical to make opponents feel persuaded, after he passively spoke to the Pirate Gang which he threw a small bomb into Ricket's head, and shouted the Ghost Egg's name to persuade his opponents at Oberon Station. Bulldog is far less irritable and has more patience than Shrike, but he can get irritated easily with his shenanigans throughout each mission. He gets along well with others and is obliging to cooperate. But if he loses his temper with Shrike who goes off course in a mission, his eyes can turn blood red or white as seen in Episode 2. But when Shrike and Beebs look for the new doctor in a dark cavern, they're understandably terrified. When he mentions that he'll miss Nobert when he's gone, his voice wavers with sadness. After Dr. Agness reveals her true objective, he's understandably enraged. But in some parts of the battle against her, he's shown to be struggling. He also shows compassion to the leader of the Lythops who lost those close to him. Near the end of the episode, Bulldog gets choked up when he's about to say goodbye to his new friend. In one of the promos for the plush toys, he shows a childlike curiosity when he sees a plush version of himself. In the 3rd episode, Beebs asks Shrike if they're cut out of the mercenary life because of the previous mission. He says he couldn't stop thinking about what happened to the Lythops, even though the incident wasn't his fault. He still worries about Puntiagudo but Shrike says he can't look back on the past after he says not everyone has regrets, despite his body language saying otherwise until they get a distress call from the Cat Scratch Gang. Meanwhile, on the Bucket, Beebs is playing guitar while trying to contact someone at the same time after being told about fungal plant-like creatures known as the Agari who were victims of a disastrous event known as the Cataclysm. As he plays the guitar, he meets a mushroom-like creature named Us, who explains about Scratch accidentally shooting its friend, Them, with a missile, making Us and Them get separated. Beebs agrees to help while he and his friends escape from a base to the Bucket to stop Them from corrupting it. However, Beebs reaches his breaking point when Scratch refuses to confess. Seething with rage, he tells him it's been a long day and the cat agrees to confess. But unfortunately, Them is too far gone to be saved because of the Cataclysm, so Shrike and the crew have no choice but to do a mercy killing by slamming Scratch's broken ship on it, sending it burning into the sun. As Them disappears, teardrops fall from the eye of Us's spaceship. Beebs tells Us he knows how it feels when it comes to moving on from grief, which isn't always an easy process when someone loses another person who is close to them. He hopes that he and Us will meet again one day. __________ Tyneen, also known as Queen Tyneen, is a major character appearing in Monkey Wrench series. She is the Space Pirate leader which have rightfully earned her title from the L.A.W, Space Pirate Queen Tyneen is considered as the most ruthless pirate warlord in command of an ever growing pirating empire. Muscling in on jobs set out for Merc companies such as the Monkey Wrench Crew or preying on various helpless convoys throughout the galaxy, any and all are fair game in her eyes. Although Tyneen is fast and physically powerful, easily a match for a titan such as Bulldog Browns, she lacks a bit of the intelligence and easily infuriated if she's shown up or makes a mistake, but learns how to calm herself down. Like Shrike, she prefers to solve her problems with a good bit of violence. Tyneen is a humanoid reptilian with a blue, well-built body and cream-colored countershading on her jaw, neck, chest, hands, feet, and tail. She has yellow sclera and slit cat-like pupils with an orange tone around her eyes. She has yellow-colored 3-fingered claws and 3-toed toenails and a two-colored mohawk which is purplish pink and yellow, alongside forearm spikes which are entirely purple. She possesses the yellow sharp teeth and mouth ligaments, and a cyan tongue. She is clothed with a red suit, pauldron-like shoulder pads, a mandarin collar, a torn cape and a prosthetic arm with 4 sharp claws. Tyneen is self-centered, short-tempered and slightly witless. While she is easily irritable, she is capable of calming down if she has reason to and displays optimism to accomplish things that benefit her when needed. She does not hesitate to fight others for the fun of it or if it also benefits her. In episode 4, she expresses the want to be the "best of the best", and leaves anyone holding her back. Everything she does is for herself, yet she thinks with her fists. She frequently makes incautious mistakes, as shown in The Ghost Egg, she falls to distraction. In her plush advert, she is somewhat inexperienced with technology despite being more advanced and wealthy than other characters. She is quiet absorbed about the things she dreams for to receive or accomplish, like acquiring the Battle Cruiser. She is very obsessed with Kara, that she looks up to greatly, especially seeking to receive a complete signature on her pecks by her. ____________ Scratch is a major character appearing in Monkey Wrench series. He's the leader of his gang. Fed up of being stepped on and walked over, Scratch, with his partner, Scritch, set off to make a name for themselves and they did so by doing the only thing they know how; Stealing and scamming their way to success. A smooth talker and quick with his tongue, Scratch can usually talk his way into getting anything and out of most situations. He considers himself a bit of a genius. Scritch and Scratch have crossed paths with Shrike and Beebs numerous times and have a rival-like relationship and aren‘t afraid to screw each other over. Scratch is a semi anthropomorphic simple-shaped cat with a black fur, green eyes, a white underbelly and no visible nose. He wears a full body space suit, a glass heScratch is typically condescending, snobbish, and dramatic. Scratch can be also very hot-tempered and entitled, shown to be angered by Ricket's excuse for paying debts and Scratch shows entitlement of having him instead.lmet, and a blue collar with a gold pendent. _______________ Kara is a major character in the Monkey Wrench series. Kara is a humanoid caracal-like feline. She sports brown fur and nose, wide hips, average sized breasts and cream muzzle. She has long, flexible, and brown ears with white inner fluff. She has dark eyelids, black eyebrows, and a cyan sclera. She has retractable black claws that are used for assaulting victims and pink paw pads. She is clothed with a cobalt blue catsuit that covers the entire body but her upper head, fingers, and toes. She frequently wears a mechanical white mask with glowing blue ring eyes to conceal her identity, which Shrike broke during their first encounter, and cracked even more during their second encounter. She has a cyan orb-like device on her dorsal hands that can be used for manipulating a hologram service and information and also to communicate with her agent. Kara predominantly displays a loner-like attitude and calm behavior. She is less easily persuaded than other characters, after Chester McNevins pleads for his life by offering pixels or higher offers, which made her choose to assassinate him out of annoyance, showing her lack of remorse for her other crimes. She displays a lot of secretive behaviors, hiding her face with a mask, once hidden under the cape outside the station, and preparing her assault on the Monkey Wrench Crew before being distracted by the enemies of Beebs and Shrike. She also appears to heavily dislike her bounties being stolen, as seen when she bounds Monkey Wrench, Scratch's Gang, and the Space Pirates for attempting to take Nobert's contract before she could. She lacks patience, as well as gets easily irritated to disruption like when her assassination of victims at Pleasure District is interrupted by Agent K's call and second time by him calling someone at the phone. She also got infuriated when her assault against Monkey Wrench crew is interrupted by Tyneen glomping her to finish her signature. However, she is also seen being very affable and intelligent, following orders exactly as stated, staying low until the time is right, and respecting Potoo royalty. ______________ Ricket is a character appearing in Monkey Wrench series. Ricket, a once good friend of Shrike, got roped in with Tyneen several years ago and has stood with her ever since (even though it's clear the pirate life isn't for him). Despite being clumsy and somewhat aloof, he managed to rise through the ranks of Tyneen's pirate crew to the respectable rank of first mate, much to his crews' envy. Ricket is a Osteon[1] with a long head, large and broad torso, and narrow posture. He has a cyan diamond-shaped eyes and fire on top of his head. He wears a pinkish-red bandanna that covers his left eye, shorts, belt gloves, and shoes. His left eye has a birth defect of not being fully developed.[2] Ricket is shown to be jolly, gullible, and excitable, witless but loyal. ____________ Scritch is a character appearing in Monkey Wrench series. He's the part of Scratch Gang with his older brother, Scratch. Scritch is a semi-anthropomorphic cat possessing orange fur with a cream snout and stripes, blue sclera, pink nose, and button ears. Like Scratch, he wears a full body space suit, a glass helmet, and a green collar with a gold pendant. Scritch is mute, and primarily communicates through his eyes and expressions. He usually assists Scratch during fights, and is willing to indulge in them. Scritch is also shown to soft and empathetic towards people, such as when he patted Scratch in Episode 1. However, he can be annoyed when Scratch is around him, as seen from his miffed face when Scratch confronts him in Episode 3. ____________ Terran is a term for the inhabitant of planet Earth, namely a human. Terrans are highly known to be responsible for Cataclysm, particularly the annihilation of Agari, which caused fallout in their home planet, changing them as "mindless drones", seeking out life to consume and spreading the Catacylsms corruption where ever they go. Besides that, they are also known for creating cartoons, pizza, the galactic wide Catacylsm, and etc, initially said by Shrike.
