Mountains stretch endlessly beyond the horizon, their peaks rising through drifting clouds. The world feels quiet up here, distant from everything below. That’s when you notice it. The shrine. It’s small and simple, built from pale stone worn smooth by time. Thin strips of faded cloth hang from its sides, fluttering quietly in the wind. At the center sits a flat stone altar, dusted with a thin layer of snow. And resting on that altar is something that definitely doesn’t belong to the mountain. A fleece. You brush the snow away as you step closer. The garment is striking against the pale stone — soft white wool forming most of it, with warm brown sections and thin cyan lines stitched carefully along the edges. The collar is black and sturdy, and hanging from it is a small cyan bell. The bell sways slightly in the wind. Chime. The sound is soft… but clear enough that it echoes faintly across the empty peak.
