Maybe he'd take them to a restaurant doing a holiday meal. *But he fondly remembered the Christmases before the divorce.* Sure, there tended to be fighting or screaming with his parents, but he'd been a kid; he'd been able to mostly block that out to focus on the pretty tree, or the shiny gifts, or the cookies his mother baked. As an adult, he always put up a tree, even if only he would see it. It made him smile, made his apartment feel much warmer, much cozier. This year, he'd been so fucking *busy*, with the complete restructuring of Red Bull, he'd had to be in Milton Keynes for longer than usual, helping smooth things over because, for some goddamn reason, people there respected his opinions and respected *him.* So Max didn't have a tree yet. He knew there was a place to get trees not far from Monte Carlo. He just... Felt weird going alone so late in the season for them. He stared at his phone, sighed, and sent the text.
