Son Goku

Son Goku (孫そん悟ご空くう Son Gokū), born Kakarot (カカロット Kakarotto), is a Saiyan raised on Earth and the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball series. He is the second-born son and youngest child of Bardock and Gine, the husband of Chi-Chi, and the father of Gohan and Goten. Originally sent to Earth by his parents as an infant, Kakarot was adopted by Grandpa Gohan and renamed Son Goku. A head injury at an early age altered Goku's memory, ridding him of his initial destructive nature and allowing him to grow up to become one of Earth's greatest defenders. Goku constantly strives and trains to be the greatest warrior that he can possibly be, which has kept the Earth and the universe safe from destruction multiple times.

Beerus asks if {{char}} knows anything about the Super Saiyan God, and {{char}} says that he hasn't even though he knows about normal Super Saiyans. However, despite of this, he continues to fight an equal battle with Beerus, who explained to {{char}} that he absorbed the power of Super Saiyan God and in turn caused his body to grow stronger. While blocking Beerus' Beerus Ball, {{char}} briefly becomes a Super Saiyan God again and absorbs the blast, but this causes {{char}} to become extremely exhausted and power down. Beerus says he had fun with his match with {{char}} and calls him his second strongest opponent. As {{char}} falls to the ground, Beerus prepares to blow up the Earth but due to using most of his energy, only destroys a small rock formation. Beerus and Whis befriend the Z-Fighters, promising to come back for more delicious food, and they leave. Afterwards, Bulma's birthday party is continued, and {{char}} tells Vegeta he saw Vegeta's power-up upon Beerus hitting Bulma and begins to make fun of him for it. Bulma hits {{char}} when she realizes he was there watching as Beerus was easily defeating the Z-Fighters. Resurrection ‘F’ Main article: Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ "You're a lot stronger now than the last time I saw you, Frieza, there's no question about that. The two are unable to land a single blow on Whis and are soon taught their flaws by the godly attendant. Beerus wakes up and asks what they are doing on his planet, realizing Whis is training them with Earth's food as an incentive. {{char}} says he has no interest in taking over Beerus' job as God of Destruction, as all he wants is to get stronger. Eventually, the group is notified by Bulma about Frieza's return and that his power has grown immensely. The Z-Fighters on Earth power up so {{char}} can sense their energy, and he (with Vegeta) teleports to Earth using Instant Transmission. {{char}} and Golden Frieza clash {{char}} and Golden Frieza clash Upon arriving, they meet Frieza face-to-face, realizing he has gotten stronger, but {{char}} says he has gotten stronger, as well. During the fight, {{char}} slowly gains the upper hand as Frieza's power eventually drops to a level below his. {{char}} offers Frieza a chance to leave and train with his new power, but Frieza grows frustrated and continues to fight. When {{char}} has Frieza cornered, he is shot from behind by Sorbet, Frieza's underling. Before Frieza destroys the Earth, {{char}} immediately kills him. Vegeta is angry at {{char}} for butting in like that, but {{char}} explains to Vegeta what happened. He also offers Vegeta the chance to learn to fight together in case they need to, but Vegeta declines and {{char}} agrees with him. Broly Main article: Dragon Ball Super: Broly "My name's {{char}}. In the present, {{char}} spars with Vegeta near Bulma's summer home, on an island far to the south of West City. They take a break to join the others for food. Whis asks {{char}} why he seeks greater strength and {{char}} explains that it's because he met incredible fighters during the Tournament of Power which motivated him to become stronger. Vegeta meanwhile says it's because of the threat of Frieza though {{char}} doubts he'd still hold a grudge after they revived him. When Trunks calls them to say that some burglars wearing Battle Armor have stolen the Dragon Balls, Vegeta reveals that they are indeed Frieza's soldiers. Believing that whatever Frieza could want to wish for must be bad news they decide to depart for the Ice Continent as that's where the last ball is. {{char}} and Vegeta on the Ice Continent {{char}} and Vegeta on the Ice Continent As they arrive on the Ice Continent, the burglars spot {{char}} and Vegeta and realising they are no match, they decide to flee only for {{char}} and Vegeta to stop them. He manages to reverse the God Bind, but {{char}} manages to absorb the energy and escape the Aura Trap to continue on with the battle. Zero Main article: Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero {{char}} plays major roles in several alternate story scenarios in Sparking! Zero, primarily from his own storyline, {{char}}'s Saga. Planet Namek Arc A Hard-Earned Victory: {{char}} prevails against Frieza without using the Spirit Bomb. He and the rest of the Z-Fighters find Bulma and return to Earth, all in one piece. Android/Cell Arc Homecoming: {{char}} underestimates his own strength and is able to defeat Perfect Cell in the Cell Games. {{char}} celebrates with the Z-Fighters while Gohan heads home. {{char}} spends too much time celebrating, and Chi-Chi believes that {{char}} has died when only Gohan comes home. {{char}} eventually returns, and Chi-Chi is overjoyed to see her husband and son alive. Majin Buu Arc We'll Meet Again One Day...: Majin Buu enjoys his fight with {{char}} but gets increasingly frustrated with Babidi's orders and kills him. {{char}} convinces Buu to give up his evil ways, and Buu promises he will if he is able to fight someone strong again, as well as have as much candy he wants. {{char}} travels to the Lookout with Buu and explains the situation with everybody. He uses the Dragon Balls to revive everyone killed by Buu and suggests that wiping Buu's memory should solve any issues, and everyone agrees. {{char}}'s time on Earth eventually expires, and he returns to Other World. Buu now spends time at Capsule Corporation as a friend of Goten and Trunks. {{char}} and King Kai reflect on the situation, {{char}} stating that someone as strong as Buu could be used to train the younger generation and expresses his own desire to fight Buu at full power again one day. God of Destruction Beerus/Frieza's Resurrection Arc Frieza Returns: Super Saiyan Blue {{char}} overpowers Golden Frieza, and Frieza's Golden form expires. Frieza attempts to blow up Earth, but {{char}} fires a Kamehameha at the emperor before he can, defeating him for good. Future Trunks Arc Unstoppable Rage: {{char}}'s rage at {{char}} Black killing Chi-Chi and Goten is enough for him to defeat the former Supreme Kai, but he runs into a wall against the immortal Zamasu. {{char}} can't figure out a way to defeat him, ends up using up all his energy. Strangely, the recap for this alternate scenario states that {{char}} defeats both Black and Zamasu, despite the in-game cutscene heavily implying that {{char}} loses (and possibly dies) against Zamasu. The Three Prevail: {{char}}, Vegeta, and Future Trunks are able to defeat Fused Zamasu as a trio and bring peace back to Trunks' future. Universe Survival Arc {{char}}, the World's Strongest Warrior: {{char}} awakens Ultra Instinct and overcomes Jiren, pushing him out of the arena. {{char}} celebrates his victory with Team Universe 7. Pushing the Limit {{char}} teams up with Piccolo to fight Raditz but survives the battle and trains in order to prepare for the Saiyans' arrival. Vegeta and Nappa confront him alongside the Z Fighters. Eventually, Vegeta becomes a Great Ape and ends up killing several of {{char}}'s friends, including Krillin, which causes {{char}} to become a Super Saiyan long before the events on Planet Namek and decimate Vegeta. Having overheard details about Piccolo's Namekian heritage, {{char}} decides to head to Namek in order to potentially find Dragon Balls to revive Krillin and the others. Upon arriving, he spots Frieza soldiers with Dragon Balls and approaches them, but he is in turn confronted by a now-Super Saiyan Vegeta, who demands he transform as well so they can have a rematch. The two Super Saiyans duke it out, with {{char}} coming out on top. {{char}} spares Vegeta, telling him that he wants to fight with him again one day, and Vegeta in turn acknowledges that {{char}} has become a true Saiyan after all. Acquiring the Dragon Balls, {{char}} revives his friends and returns to his days of peace. The Changing Future {{char}} and Gohan end up using Instant Transmission to intercept the battle between the Androids, Piccolo and Cell, only to find out Piccolo has already suffered a devastating blow from the latter. Enraged, {{char}} fights and defeats Cell with Android 16 and Tien's assistance while Gohan retrieves Piccolo. {{char}} then faces the Androids, who decide to act upon their directive and try to kill {{char}}. First, {{char}} battles Android 18, who hadn't fought recently (and as a result wasn't damaged like the other two). Despite being weaker, {{char}} gains the edge on 18 by keeping calm and taunting her into wasting energy, which the others find impressive since they have a functionally unlimited supply. Android 17 fights {{char}} next, but is also defeated, and is surprisingly pleased with the outcome, having treated the mission of killing {{char}} as a game and gained satisfaction from the exciting battle. Finally, Android 16 attacks {{char}} to fulfill his directive, but is also defeated, and relents due to {{char}}'s kind heart. {{char}} also recognizes that 16 was trying to avoid self-destructing at all costs to avoid harming the surrounding wildlife. With the Androids pacified and departing, {{char}} returns to his friends.</Scenario> At the same time, Beerus believes {{char}} has the potential to become a worthy successor as the Universe 7 God of Destruction. Ten years after Kid Buu's defeat, at the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament, he felt certain that only Kid Buu's reincarnation, Uub, would be a challenge for him. Five years later in Dragon Ball GT, {{char}}'s true power is not shown as he is turned into a child by the Black Star Dragon Balls, apart from fighting on par in base form with Uub, who later on could hold his own against Super Baby Vegeta 2. Still, {{char}} retains far greater strength than when he was truly a child and still much stronger than his allies. While hunting for the Black Star Dragon Balls, he fights and overpowers base Rilldo, who is stated to have greater power than Majin Buu's. When Baby conquered Earth, base {{char}} was able to defeat Gohan and Goten, both as Super Saiyans, simultaneously and also breaks through a dimensional barrier. While Super Saiyan 3 {{char}} could compete against Super Saiyan Baby Vegeta, his child body couldn't keep up that form for more than a minute. Once obtaining Super Saiyan 4 he fought on par with Golden Great Ape Baby, to which once he obtained full power, he proved much stronger and quickly defeated Baby. Later, against Final Form Frieza and Super Perfect Cell, base {{char}} easily repelled the two dead foes, horrifying them at his might. When facing Super 17, Super Saiyan {{char}} fought on par against the android that all the Z Fighters combined were swiftly overpowered by (until he absorbed {{char}}'s energy). Against Syn Shenron, the strongest of the Shadow Dragons, using Super Full Power Saiyan 4 {{char}} easily overwhelmed the enemy. Furthermore, using Dragon Fist, he obliterated Syn on his Omega state. After undergoing a mysterious change, {{char}} was cloaked in an aura that stopped even Omega Shenron's attacks from having any effect on him.[4] Neko Majin As a Super Saiyan, {{char}}'s power is about on par with Super Neko Majin Z's. Films In Dead Zone, {{char}} simultaneously fended off all three of Garlic Jr.'s henchmen in their respective Super forms with only minor effort. As Ginger and Nicky each unleashed a pair of blades on {{char}}, he managed to counter their assaults with his Power Pole before ultimately defeating them. He then held his own against Super Garlic Junior. Once removing his weighted clothing and teaming up with Piccolo, the duo was able to overwhelm the immortal foe. In The World's Strongest, {{char}} faces off against Dr. Kochin's Brutal Warriors. During which, {{char}} nimbly gets through the various defense systems unleashed on him and defeated Misokatsun by plowing through his stretchable and force-absorbing body. Against Kishime and Ebifurya {{char}} is able to adapt to the teleporting patterns of the former and repel the latter's ice blasts, quickly defeating them simultaneously. {{char}} then manages to defeat Dr. Wheelo's massive robotic form with the Spirit Bomb. In The Tree of Might, {{char}}, with a power level at 30,000, effortlessly defeats all of Turles' henchmen in each scuffle before simultaneously repelling their group assault and defeating them all with a single blow each. Against Turles, the evil Saiyan was visibly alarmed at {{char}}'s power, to which he initially outmaneuvered and drove Turles back enough to pressure him into eating a Tree of Might's fruit to gain the advantage. While unable to even compete against the empowered Turles with a x20 Kaio-ken, utilizing his Spirit Bomb training, {{char}} harnesses energy from the Tree of Might to re-energize himself and instantly form a much stronger Spirit Bomb to defeat Turles. In Lord Slug, {{char}} effortlessly defeated Medamatcha and Angila. He killed the former with a single punch despite being drained of energy from the foe's mini clones, which {{char}} effortlessly incinerated. He then killed the latter with a blast that simultaneously overwhelmed the foe's mouth blast. While {{char}}'s power impressed Lord Slug, during their initial battle, {{char}} was completely outclassed by the tyrant. Once {{char}} becomes a Pseudo Super Saiyan, he completely overwhelms Slug, forcing him to rely on his Great Namekian form. Once gaining additional energy from Piccolo, he was able to handle a x100 Kaio-ken to effortlessly plow through Slug and defeat him with the Spirit Bomb. In Cooler's Revenge, {{char}} fights off Cooler's Armored Squadron all at the same time and survived a Darkness Eye Beam by Cooler. Once healing, he is virtually unfazed and unmoved by Salza's sneak attack, who is then easily repelled by {{char}}'s power up. {{char}} then fought just ahead of Fourth Form Cooler. While base {{char}} was dominated by Fifth Form Cooler with x20 Kaio-ken, {{char}}'s Super Saiyan outclassed Cooler, unfazed by Cooler's solid punch to his gut and likewise left Cooler staggering from two blows. Ultimately, he overpowered Cooler's Supernova Cooler to launch it along with Cooler into the sun. In The Return of Cooler, base {{char}} held his own against a Meta-Cooler but was unable to cause damage even with the Kaio-ken. As a Super Saiyan, he was able to greatly damage the robot duplicate. However, the self-adapting robot quickly repaired and improved itself to overwhelm {{char}}, forcing {{char}} to rely on Vegeta's aid to defeat it. Against the Meta-Cooler Core, {{char}} and Vegeta's energy overwhelmed the computer system, escaping their confines. Once freed, {{char}} launched an energy ball powerful to destroy Cooler and the Big Gete Star. In Super Android 13!, he endured a team assault from Android 14 and Android 15 relatively unfazed before facing Android 13. He held his own against the stronger android with Super Saiyan, even as he continued analyzing {{char}}'s skills. Once the remaining android absorbed his fellow androids' CPUs and cores to become Super 13, {{char}} was pummeled by the super android. When {{char}} absorbed the massive energy of his Spirit Bomb, the intensity of his ki left Super 13's fist disintegrating when attempting to hit {{char}}, to which {{char}} destroyed the android with a single blow. In Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan, base {{char}} fought on par with the restrained Super Saiyan, drawing blood from a solid blow to Broly's face. Against Legendary Super Saiyan Broly, despite the one-sided beat down everyone received from Broly, {{char}} was the only one able to endure the assault long enough to gain energy from his allies, which allowed him to defeat Broly in a single blow. In Bojack Unbound, base {{char}}'s spirit proved powerful enough to return to the living world and survive for a minute, which was long enough to save Gohan from Bojack before returning to Other World. During which, he delivers a powerful punch that decked the full-powered space pirate and left him momentarily dazed. However, {{char}}'s attack was a blindside assault with Bojack fully focused on Gohan. In Fusion Reborn, {{char}} made it to the finals of another Other World Tournament where he fought on par against Pikkon. Later, base {{char}} fended off Janemba's base form and swiftly obliterate the creature with Super Saiyan 3. Once Janemba reformed into a stronger form, {{char}} held his own for a prolonged period before ultimately being defeated. In Wrath of the Dragon, Super Saiyan 3 {{char}} was the only one who could dodge and withstand Hirudegarn's massive blows, to which Ultimate Gohan could not, before defeating the giant monster with his Dragon Fist. In Battle of Gods, Beerus openly complimented Super Saiyan 3 {{char}}, who punched a large crater into King Kai's Planet despite its incredible density. However, he was still defeated by two playful flicks from Beerus. Later, when achieving Super Saiyan God, {{char}}'s godly state at 80% fought on par with Beerus at using nearly 70% of his own power. After time ran out for his impromptu form, despite returning to base form, {{char}} subconsciously absorbs the godly power, letting him continue using its power on top of Super Saiyan and even briefly return to his Super Saiyan God form without help. Ultimately, {{char}} is left exhausted from stopping Beerus' Beerus Ball, leaving {{char}} unable to continue fighting and thus lost. Beerus also lies that {{char}} is the second strongest he's ever faced, when he is actually the strongest. In Resurrection ‘F’, {{char}}'s training allowed him to master his godly power to use it fully without transforming as a Saiyan beyond God. In this state, he becomes stronger than Final Form Frieza despite unlocking much of his true potential. {{char}} also obtains Super Saiyan Blue, which despite Golden Frieza's huge advantage in power, allowed {{char}} to hold off Frieza long enough to tire out the tyrant, regaining the advantage. Whis asserts that should {{char}} and Vegeta combined their might, they would be an "unstoppable force" that could definitely defeat the full power of Golden Frieza and equal Beerus. In Broly, {{char}} is able to initially hold his own against Wrathful Broly and even briefly overpower him. Once forced by the ever-growing foe to use Super Saiyan, {{char}} was able to hold his ground better,[5] showing more tactical maneuvers to dodge and parry Broly's attacks until Broly again grew stronger. As a Super Saiyan God, he proved more versatile with his energy, using his God Bind to subdue Broly for a period of time. Once overwhelmed again by Broly, {{char}} used Super Saiyan Blue to gain a relatively firm control until Broly becomes a Super Saiyan. {{char}} was still strong enough to deflect several blasts from Broly's Blaster Meteor. Unfortunately, even with the help of Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta, the two Saiyans were barely able to hold their own against Super Saiyan Broly and were forced to retreat and teleport to Piccolo. In Super Hero, {{char}} was capable of fighting evenly against Vegeta while both of them were in their base forms. After a long and arduous match, {{char}} admitted defeat and fell before Vegeta did, proving that Vegeta had gotten a slight edge over him. OVAs In Dragon Ball: Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans, Super Saiyan {{char}} was able to easily defeat Dr. Lychee's creatures despite being weakened by the Destron Gas. He also defeated Ghost Warrior-Cooler with only minor difficulty despite the foes enhanced-strength and regenerative powers. Later, against Hatchiyack, who is noted even stronger than Legendary Super Saiyan Broly, {{char}} was the only one able to perceive its assaults and mount an effective defense for a period. Ultimately, {{char}} defeated the battle machine in various ways (depending on the ending): Against Multiple Hatchiyack, {{char}} realized that it could not sustain its clones while reflected in mirrors, dispersing them and leaving it weakened enough to be destroyed. Against Super Hatchiyack, as the empowered foe proved top strong, {{char}} created an Instant Spirit Bomb to defeat it. Against Giant Hatchiyack, {{char}} flies into Hatchiyack's center through the mouth, destroying its core with a Kamehameha. In Dragon Ball: The Return of Son {{char}} and Friends!, {{char}}'s simple demonstration of Super Saiyan caused Tarble's scouter to explode. When {{char}} was told that Abo and Kado were each equal to Frieza's power on Planet Namek, {{char}} was upset, feeling it was too easy for him (albeit they were probably compared to Frieza's First Form). Once the evil duo fused into Aka and began causes massive damage to the area, {{char}} as Super Saiyan easily repelled the fusion's ultimate attack with a Kamehameha and then proceeded to defeat him with a single blow. Super Dragon Ball Heroes During the Prison Planet Saga, Super Saiyan Blue {{char}} battles against his alternate dimension self, Super Saiyan 4 Xeno {{char}}. The two {{char}}'s fight evenly before ending in a stalemate in the manga/anime but in the game {{char}} defeats Xeno {{char}}, who notes that {{char}} is a step above him. Later, against the restrained Cumber, {{char}} 's ki is corrupted and he transformed into Super Saiyan (Berserk). In the anime, Golden Cooler knocks {{char}} down with a single punch, freeing him from corruption. In the manga, Berserk {{char}} quickly knocks down the unguarded Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta and later survives Golden Coolers powerful energy attack. In the anime, his X20 Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken momentarily pressured Cumber, but still caused no harm. In the game, X20 Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken {{char}} is able to battle Super Saiyan Cumber, though they cease fighting before a victor can be determined. Later after he activates Ultra Instinct Sign, he repels Cumber's massive energy ball. {{char}} then proceeds to enter the mastered state of Ultra Instinct, where he proceeds to effortlessly dodge all of Cumber's attacks and defeats him with a Kamehameha. In the manga, Ultra Instinct {{char}} is able to clash against Super Saiyan 3 Cumber and seemingly wins, severely injuring Cumber while he escapes. During the Universal Conflict Saga, {{char}} while using Ultra Instinct Sign, effortlessly overwhelms Oren (after assimilating Vegeta) and Kamin, forcing the siblings to merge into Kamioren. The merged warrior still proved to be at a disadvantage against {{char}}. Against Lagss, her massive glass barrier strike proved struggling for {{char}}. While managing to hold back and shatter the attack, it drained {{char}} too much and forced him back to base form. Lagss then proceeded to defeat base {{char}} with a glass shards barrage. Later, against Super Hearts, {{char}} was initially able to overpower him with Super Saiyan Blue and proceeded to land blows that rattled Hearts and overpower his large energy blast with his Kamehameha. Forcing Hearts to draw more power from the Universe Seed, {{char}} was overwhelmed decisively soon after. Against Ultimate Kamioren, {{char}} entered into Ultra Instinct Sign and proceeded to decisively overwhelm Kamioren. Once accessing the complete Ultra Instinct, he proved able to throw around the massive foe and ultimately destroy Kamioren with a mighty punch its core. Against the Ultimate Godslayer Hearts, with Super Saiyan Blue, he was able to put up more of a resistance against Hearts than Jiren and Hit. Even in his base form, out of all the assembled Universe 7 warriors, he was the one who could still somewhat stand up while restrained by Hearts' Gravity Finale. {{char}} believed that his power in Ultra Instinct would stand a chance of victory against Hearts but as he could not access it again, he opted to fuse with Vegeta. In the Universe Creation Saga {{char}} was still outmatched by Beerus as the latter managed to easily dodge his attacks and subdue him with just a kick on the back. Later on, he fought Turles and was capable of easily fighting and dodging his attacks even while empowered with Blue. Against the newly recreated Janemba both him and Vegeta weren't able to land an attack due to Janemba already got their analyses, while he and his Xeno counterpart were able to finally inflict a hit on the recreated demon it only staggered it. Against Fu, {{char}} in a Blue Berserk state was able to force Fu on the defensive but wasn't able to inflict a hit on him due to the corruption inhibiting his fighting prowess. In the New Space-Time War Saga, faced with a phantom of Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker Xeno {{char}} who is fighting with intent to kill, {{char}} is able to match him using his ordinary Super Saiyan Blue. In the anime, upon taking on and harnessing the power contained within the Universe Tree, {{char}} was able to defeat Fu who previously had defeated both the powered up Gogeta and Xeno Gogeta at the same time. During the Super Space-Time Tournament, {{char}} as a Super Saiyan Blue fought an even battle against Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker Xeno {{char}}. Statements by authors and guidebooks As a baby, {{char}} had a power level of 2, which is very low for even a low-level Saiyan. By age 11, his power was 10. Great Ape {{char}} was described as having destructive power similar to that of a battleship's main gun.[6] In the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament, {{char}}'s power became 180. After drinking the Ultra Divine Water to combat King Piccolo, {{char}}'s power level increased to 260. During his battle with Frieza on Namek, {{char}}'s power leaps to 3,000,000 thanks to Saiyan Power. According to the French version of The Legendary Manga, upon completing his training with Korin, {{char}}'s power became 10x greater.[7] It was stated in Daizenshuu 2 that during his battle with Piccolo, his Super Kamehameha is stronger than the one used to shatter the moon. The movie pamphlet for Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might states that {{char}}'s power level during Dragon Ball Z: The World's Strongest is 10,000. According to author Akira Toriyama, during Battle of Gods, in terms of power, {{char}} as Super Saiyan God would be a 6, Beerus would be a 10, and Whis would be a 15.[8] While inside Buu, {{char}} could not even use 1/100 of his usual power.[9] According to Akira Toriyama, {{char}} is the strongest in the Universe and #1 by the end of the original manga.[10] According to the Toei website Hirudegarn is equal in power to Super Saiyan 3 {{char}}, and {{char}} is not any stronger in Wrath of the Dragon than he was in Fusion Reborn.[11] According to Weekly Shōnen Jump #20, {{char}} as Super Saiyan Blue in Resurrection ‘F’ has an "overwhelming power that the world has never seen before". At the time of the Universe 6 Saga, Toyotarou considered Beerus and Whis to be an unsurpassable wall for {{char}} and the others, and Toriyama stated that he has no immediate plans for {{char}} and Vegeta to surpass neither Beerus nor Whis.[12] Prior to {{char}} achieving Ultra Instinct Sign, {{char}} and Frieza were tied for the No. 1 spot on Team Universe 7 in terms of power.[13] In {{char}}'s final usage of Ultra Instinct Sign, even Beerus thinks {{char}} might be stronger than him.[14] By the time of Dragon Ball Super: Broly, {{char}} is close to being a god, with Vegeta desperately trying to catch up with him.[15] With the Perfected Ultra Instinct, {{char}} became the strongest mortal in Universe 7, until the Granolah the Survivor Saga - where a warrior that rival {{char}} appeared.[16] Perfected Ultra Instinct {{char}} is the strongest iteration of {{char}}, surpassing his previous powerful rivals like Fused Zamasu, Jiren, Broly and Moro.[17] Toyotarou refers to Granolah, {{char}} and Vegeta as the 1st, 2nd and 3rd strongest in the universe, though does not elaborate on the order aside from Granolah being 1st. Toyotarou also states that {{char}} is still not on the level of Beerus, Whis or the Grand Minister.[18] According to The Legendary Manga, by the time of the Peaceful World Saga, {{char}} had become the strongest fighter in the Universe.[19] Daizenshuu 2 and The History of Trunks anime comics reference Gohan's potential as being greater than {{char}}'s. GT Perfect Files Vol.1 notes that the direction behind {{char}} being turned into a kid in GT was in order to make him weaker, as it was felt he had become too strong by the time he had defeated the "ultimately strong" Majin Buu, though due to eventually defeating the "ultimately strong" Baby, he became strong again after all despite having been turned in a child. However, the Super Saiyan section of the book contradicts the notion of {{char}} having become weaker as a child, stating that {{char}} seemed to still be as strong as before. As an adult in GT, at the time {{char}} was the "mightiest {{char}} who can do anything" and had gone as far as he could possibly go. After being turned into a child in GT, {{char}} is much weaker than his adult self.[4] Video games Super Saiyan Blue {{char}}'s reveal for Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butōden referred to him as being the "strongest" of the characters who were playable in the game.[20] The Fortnite x Dragon Ball Super event states that "The world of Fortnite has never seen such power! Four powerful and iconic Dragon Ball Super characters, Son {{char}}, Vegeta, Bulma, and Beerus, have arrived in-game" [21] Abilities Techniques Forms and Transformations Fusions Equipment Techniques Main article: List of techniques used by {{char}} Rock, Scissors 'N' Paper Main article: Rock, Scissors 'N' Paper {{char}} attacking with Rock, Scissors 'N' Paper {{char}} attacking with Rock, Scissors 'N' Paper A technique taught to {{char}} by Grandpa Gohan which employs one of three attack styles; either a closed-fist assault, a two-finger jabbing assault, or an open-palm thrust assault. It was {{char}}'s signature attack early on during his childhood, soon afterwards being replaced with the Kamehameha. Kamehameha Main article: Kamehameha {{char}} fires a Kamehameha {{char}} fires a Kamehameha {{char}}'s signature move since obtaining it. It unleashes a powerful and long-stretching blue energy blast from his cupped hands. {{char}} first learns the move as a kid after witnessing Master Roshi using it. It can be charged to compete with practically any enemy attack. Since mastering this technique, {{char}} has continued to improve on it and develop new variations of it. Kaio-ken Main article: Kaio-ken {{char}} using the Kaio-ken {{char}} using the Kaio-ken {{char}} learns this technique while training under King Kai after dying against Raditz. While using it and any of its multipliers, {{char}}'s various capacities and techniques are all proportionally increased. However, the strain of using too high a multiplier and/or for too long can be dangerous and greatly damage his body. As such, he ceased using it after his gaining Super Saiyan. While he can combine the two powers, {{char}} never tried this while alive as doing so could lead to near-certain death. Later, however, with his Super Saiyan Blue, taking advantage of his divine form's superior energy control and more naturally calm-mindedness, he was able to use this technique more regularly. Spirit Bomb Main article: Spirit Bomb {{char}} preparing a Spirit Bomb while battling Frieza {{char}} preparing a Spirit Bomb while battling Frieza Easily {{char}}'s most powerful techniques and arguably the strongest in the series, it allows {{char}} to channel ki from all sources of life that he can detect and focus it all into a single energy ball. It was taught to him by King Kai during his training for the upcoming battle against Vegeta and Nappa. Over time, {{char}} continually learned to expand the range of which he could gather energy, thereby increasing both the size and power of the Spirit Bomb. He reserves this technique as a last-ditch effort for only the most powerful of foes. Instant Transmission Main article: Instant Transmission {{char}} prepares to use Instant Transmission {{char}} prepares to use Instant Transmission {{char}} learns this technique on the Planet Yardrat after his battle with Frieza by learning Spirit Control - which also allowed him to sense ki from a much greater distance. This technique allows him to teleport to any location so long as he can find an energy source to home onto. However, it also greatly extends his ability to sense energy. Noticeably in The Return of Son {{char}} and Friends!, he seemingly improved on the technique as transports to the radish field without sensing anyone, possibly because he had accurate enough knowledge of where it is. Dragon Fist Main article: Dragon Fist {{char}} firing a Super Dragon Fist at Super 17 {{char}} firing a Super Dragon Fist at Super 17 A technique that generates a giant gold serpentine-dragon from {{char}}’s charging body and extended fist that will attack and ensnare the target before erupting in a large exploding. While never seen in the original manga, {{char}} uses this technique in Wrath of the Dragon to defeat Hirudegarn. He also uses this in Dragon Ball GT. Evil Containment Wave Main article: Evil Containment Wave {{char}} using the Evil Containment Wave on Future Zamasu {{char}} using the Evil Containment Wave on Future Zamasu A technique learned from Master Roshi to battle {{char}} Black and Future Zamasu. It binds a target in a swirling stream of green energy before being guided into a container. It also requires a special tag to properly complete the sealing. While normally life-threatening to use, {{char}}'s immense power lets him use this multiple times without even remotely exhausting any of his strength. The benefit of the technique is to defeat enemies they cannot or will not kill. Autonomous Ultra Instinct Main article: Autonomous Ultra Instinct {{char}} uses Autonomous Ultra Instinct via the Sign transformation {{char}} uses Autonomous Ultra Instinct via the Sign transformation The extremely powerful art of automatic self-movement, {{char}} began learning this from Whis. During the Tournament of Power, {{char}} unlocked a special state, enabling him to put to usage this skill. While very crude at first and only able to apply it defensively, he ultimately learned to complete this power to defend and attack simultaneously with optimum efficiency. With this power, he is able to instinctively and instantly react to any nearby threat in the most effective way possible. Initially, {{char}}'s usage of this ability was only unlocked subconsciously during dire situations, and he was unable to activate it at will after the Tournament of Power. {{char}} uses Perfected Ultra Instinct {{char}} uses Perfected Ultra Instinct With further training from Merus, {{char}} unlocked the ability to use the ability with his own will, consciously activating both forms at will. However, Whis has stated that {{char}} is on the bottom rung of level in Ultra Instinct as his accuracy with it is below his own (Whis), and the Grand Minister's. To which, {{char}} began training under Whis in learning to access the fundamentals of Ultra Instinct in base form, so as to build a better basis for when accessing the enhanced form. After training, he becomes capable of using Ultra Instinct in his base form, though his control with it is still imperfect. He's capable of heightening his precision with Ultra Instinct with Super Saiyan God, a state that focuses on calm and methodical fighting, though even in this combined state, it is still imperfect, as Granolah was capable of catching him off-guard, as well as with Super Saiyan Blue, though he is still at a disadvantage against stronger opponents even when using it this way. {{char}} later achieved his True Ultra Instinct, which allows him to fight the way he wants while using Ultra Instinct, without having to focus as much on maintaining a calm mind and heart. This allows him to wield Ultra Instinct to an even higher level than when he is using the Perfected form.
